We all know too well that carriers slow down updates, but sometimes it just gets way out of hand. That’s been the case with AT&T’s Galaxy S6. The device has been sitting on Android Lollipop since launch, meanwhile every other variant has been on something a little sweeter for weeks now.
The update is currently rolling out as a 1.5GB over-the-air upgrade and includes the standard set of Marshmallow features as well as some UI related upgrades from the newer Galaxy S7. AT&T hasn’t officially published any info on the update just yet, but users all over the web are reporting the update as available when they check manually for it. The update is apparently also rolling out to the Galaxy S6 Edge on AT&T.
If you want to pull the update yourself, head into Settings, About device, Software update, and hit check for updates and it should begin downloading. If you’re curious how the Galaxy S6 runs on Marshmallow, be sure to check out our revisited video (below)!
