The Galaxy S7 Active Is Rumored To Pack A Monstrous 4,000 mAh Battery

Remember how the Galaxy S6 Active had a much bigger battery than the S6 last year? Well it looks like we’re getting the same thing this time around. The upcoming Galaxy S7 Active is set to debut pretty much any day now and the latest spec to leak is the battery. VentureBeat is reporting that Samsung is looking to pack an absolutely giant 4,000 mAh battery into this phone.

This battery size is especially impressive considering the fact that the S7 Active is expected to have a 5.1″ display just like the standard S7. That means this device is adding 1,000 mAh to the battery’s capacity.

Keeping with tradition, the S7 Active is shaping up to be one heck of a phone even when compared to the already stellar S7 and S7 Edge.

Aside from that battery, the S7 Active is expected to pack the Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage with a microSD card slot for expandability, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, some form of shock protection, and the same camera setup found on the S7 family. The device is also expected to be noticeably thicker and heavier compared to the S7 at 9.9mm and 185 grams respectively. The device will of course be exclusive to AT&T as it has in years past.
