Several of us here at iTechTriad are very excited for one new game in particular, No Man’s Sky. The upcoming game is without a doubt one of the most impressive looking titles we’ve seen in a long time, but it seems they are going to miss their currently planned launch date.
According to Kotaku, two independent sources are claiming that the game has been delayed from its June 21st release date. Those reports are further confirmed from images from GameStop locations showing posters for the game with the release date covered by a “coming soon sticker”.
It’s unclear if the game will be delayed on both release platforms, PlayStation 4 and PC (Steam), so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. The company has yet to publicly acknowledge the delay.
No Man’s Sky is an open world survival game set in space and designed within an open universe that is procedurally generated. Players start off the game with their own spacecraft and from there can search planets and outer space for resources and explore. The universe is actually so large that the developers have said that no one will ever be able to explore it all, so needless to say, it’s a big project for the small indie developers. Best case scenario the game will only be delayed for a few weeks, but as we’ve seen with other games in the past, this could end up lasting a couple of months or more.Source: Kotaku
