After weeks of appearing on random accounts and devices, Twitter has today officially begun the rollout for the material design version of their app. Here’s what’s new.
- Tab bar at the top of the screen with swipe functionality so you can quickly move between your Home timeline, Notifications, Direct Messages, and more.
- Navigation menu that slides out from the side for access to your profile, Highlights, lists, the Connect tab, and settings.
- New floating action button so you can always easily send a Tweet.
The new design is available today for users around the world. To get the new UI, update your app via Google Play and soon after you’ll get the new UI rolled out to your account.
