Lenovo PHAB2 And PHAB2 Plus Offer Massive Screens And Affordable Price Tags
Today at Lenovo Tech World 2016, Lenovo has officially announced the PHAB2 and PHAB2 Plus smartphones. These Android smartphones pack massive screens and special features along with their affordable price tags. Let’s take a closer look.
The Lenovo PHAB2 packs a giant 6.4″ display along with special camera tricks. The 13MP camera on the back comes with quick auto-focus and special AR effects which allow for adding virtual backgrounds, cartoons, and more onto your photos and videos. Lenovo hasn’t confirmed the specifications for this device, but they have confirmed that it will have 16GB of onboard storage with a microSD card slot and a 720p resolution on the display. While that’s nothing to brag about, the $199 price point will certainly make this a good option for big phone lovers looking to save a buck. From what we can tell, this device won’t be released in the US but availability details will be coming soon.
PHAB2 offers an affordable AR smartphone with many of the attractive features found in higher-end models. PHAB 2’s AR mode, for instance, allows you to create more unique photos and videos by superimposing effects such as virtual backgrounds or cartoons onto your pictures – perfect for Snapchat-like sharing on Facebook or Instagram. Other highlights include a huge 6.4-inch HD display, complete with a fast-focusing 13MP camera and 16GB onboard storage expandable via a microSD slot.
Lenovo PHAB2 Plus
While the PHAB2 likely won’t turn many heads, the PHAB2 Plus will thanks to its camera optics. Lenovo has included a dual camera on this device, both of which come in at 13MP with a fast f/1.8 aperture. The camera also uses the same image signal processor found in the Leica camera. The company claims this device will be capable of crisp low-light shots with lifelike colors and high detail. The camera app itself will also include a manual mode and special effects. The PHAB2 Plus will be available starting in September for $299 although it doesn’t seem likely that we’ll see this launch in the US.
Known for its photos, the PHAB2 Plus comes with two 13MP rear cameras that have instant focus, fast f1.8 lenses and the same professional-grade Futjitsu Milbeaut® image signal processor that powers the Leica camera. Shutterbugs can capture amazing pictures with crisp low-light shots, high contrast while retaining lifelike colors, high detail in the shadow areas and a captivating background blur. Meanwhile, the camera software incorporates a manual mode as well as other special effects.
