Last year’s ASUS ZenWatch 2 caught our attention in a big way. Where nearly every other wearable on the market was going up in price, ASUS undercut most of the market with the $129 ZenWatch 2, and it was pretty great. Today at IFA 2016, the company has released a successor to that device, the ZenWatch 3.
This new Android Wear smartwatch brings a new, 1.39″ AMOLED display, this time a circular option, a first for ASUS. The display also comes in at 400×400, similar to the popular Huawei Watch.
The ZenWatch 3 also brings the Snapdragon 2100 SoC, optimized specifically for wearables to bring better battery life and performance. Just like most other Android Wear devices, the ZenWatch 3 also brings 512mb of RAM, 4GB of storage, and 1-2 days worth of battery life via the 340mAh battery. It also brings fast charging to the table, promising a 60% charge in just 15 minutes.
ASUS ZenWatch 3 follows the tradition of fine watchmaking with its luxurious, detail-focused design and construction from high-quality materials. It provides timely information at a glance, offers a wealth of useful features that make your life easier, and features a customizable design so you can create your own perfect watch. Innovative quick-charging technology keeps ASUS ZenWatch 3 on your wrist longer, so you can always stay informed and be in the moment.
At the moment there’s no official pricing for the ZenWatch 3 in the US, but it will debut for €229 overseas, so it will likely fall around $250 here in the States, whenever it does debut…
