Let’s be honest, almost all of us have broken or at least damaged a smartphone at some point or another. Our phones are pretty fragile, so a light drop onto the pavement can spell the end. That’s why many pick up insurance for their expensive flagship smartphones. Right now, Verizon is offering open enrollment for its protection plans.
From now until April 9th, any Verizon customer can pick up insurance for their device, regardless of when they purchased their smartphone. The company offers five different plans, all priced differently with separate tiers of coverage.
Pricing for Verizon’s plans start at $3 a month for extended warranty coverage, and go up to $11 a month for “Total Mobile Protection.” Obviously, you can select whichever plan you prefer, but the total protection plan offers the most coverage. This allows for a full device replacements regardless of the issue at hand, as well as “Tech Coach,” a one-on-one Q&A with trained representatives.
The biggest thing to note is that with the “Total Mobile Protection” plan, users with select smartphones can get same-day device repairs at over 220 different locations around the United States. Currently, only a handful of devices are eligible for same-day repair, which only applies to cracked displays.
