AT&T sweetens its Unlimited Plus plan with free HBO

Do you like premium streaming video to go along with your unlimited plan? If so AT&T has found a way to sweeten their Unlimited Plus plan. Starting April 6th all current and new Unlimited Plus customers will get HBO for free. Now you can enjoy all that unlimited data streaming your favorite HBO shows like Veep, Silicon Valley, and Game of Thrones.

On top of the free HBO you still receive the $25 monthly video credit for DirecTV, DirecTV NOW or U-verse TV video services from AT&T. If you’re already a subscriber to DirecTV, DirecTV Now, or U-verse TV  and HBO, it will now be included for free on April 6th. If you are a current subscriber to one of the AT&T video services without HBO service, starting tomorrow you will be able to access HBO at no additional cost. If you do not subscribe to any AT&T video service you will be able to access HBO for free through the HBO Go and DirecTV Now apps.

AT&T’s Unlimited Plus plan starts at $90/month and includes unlimited minutes, texts, and data with 10GB of WiFi tethering. After 22GB AT&T may throttle your data and after 10GB on the WiFi tethering you will be restricted to 128Kbps.

“Our customers want wireless entertainment on their terms, and we’re going to deliver,” said David Christopher, chief marketing officer, AT&T Entertainment Group. “We are now including HBO when a customer has AT&T Unlimited Plus – giving you unlimited access to Game of Thrones, Silicon Valley, VEEP and more.”

In addition, as an AT&T Unlimited Plus customer you get a $25 monthly video credit on DIRECTV, DIRECTV NOW or U-verse TV while you remain on this wireless plan.1 This makes the entertainment value of this wireless plan unprecedented in the market.
