There are a lot of gaming laptops on the market, and we’ve reviewed a couple here on YourTechExplained. However, most gaming laptops are absolutely massive, thick, and not so good-looking machines compared to standard laptops. Sure, you’re getting more power for the added bulk, but it’s not always a worthwhile tradeoff. Now, Gigabyte wants to fix that with the latest addition to its Aero gaming laptop lineup, the Aero 15…
The new Aero 15 is a 15.6-inch laptop that measures in at just 0.78-inches thick and just 14-inches by 10-inches in overall size, making it just 2-inches bigger in either dimension compared to the very compact HP Spectre x360 13 which we recently reviewed.
The Aero 15 also offers up super-thin bezels around three sides of the 15.6-inch 1080p display, helping with that compact design. It also weighs in at just 4.62 pounds, half the weight of many other laptops with the same specifications.
Speaking of, the Aero 15 packs some serious power. That includes the Intel Core i7-7700HQ, NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB graphics card, 16GB of RAM (max 32GB), and has a 512GB SSD. It’s also available in three colors — black, orange, and green, all of which are priced at $1,899. That’s a pretty steep price, but for what you’re getting, it’s a solid deal. The machine ships with Windows 10 Home and is available now via Newegg.
