Lenovo refreshes their IdeaPad line with 3 new models

The IdeaPad has long been the linchpin of the Lenovo consumer market. They have seen numerous iterations over the years and today marks the latest generation of IdeaPad. Lenovo has unveiled three different models to potential buyers some great choices. These new laptops will launch with the latest 7th generation Intel processors and bring users the newest specs Lenovo has to offer.

First, the IdeaPad 320 is the most mainstream model for the budget minded in today’s announcement. You have the option of 15 and 17-inch screens. The 15-inch offers an optional touchscreen, while the 17-inch can be had in full HD+ at 1600×900. Both units can be specced out at up to an Intel Core i7, 16GB of RAM, and 2TB of internal hard drive.

If you’re looking for a slight upgrade from the 320 with a slimmer waistline, then maybe the 320S is more your style. Again you’ll find two different screen variants at 14 and 15-inches. Both will offer you up to an Intel Core i7, 8GB of RAM, FHD IPS screen with 1920×1080 resolution, and Harman speakers. Outside of these base specs, you do have some differences. The 14 maxes out the hard drive at 256GB SSD with the 15 a 512GB SSD or 1TB standard hard drive. You’ll also see a split in graphics cards. The 14 has an integrated Intel chipset and the 15-inch upgrades to a NVIDIA GeForceMX.

Lastly, those with an eye for a premium laptop will want to check out the Lenovo IdeaPad 720S. This sleek machine is a 14-inch laptop with a 1920×1080 FHD screen. Internally, you’ll find the same NVIDIA GeForce 940MX and options to max out with 16Gb of RAM and 512GB SSD. Other hardware includes JBL speakers with Dolby Audio, USB-C for data/charging, Precision Touchpad, and optional fingerprint scanner.

Lenovo has set the availability of the new IdeaPads for some time in June 2017. Pricing starts at $439 for the 320, $739 for the 320S, and the base model 720S will be $969. For more information concerning each of these models, please refer to the official press release below.

The All-New LenovoTM IdeaPadTM Laptop Family

It’s no secret we always want more from our computers. While more usually means adding to a
device’s speed and performance, it can also mean delivering all the above, but in a sleeker, re-
designed package. This less is more philosophy is precisely what Lenovo is embracing with its all-new
family of IdeaPad’s that deliver the performance users expect, but with a streamlined approach to
design and functionality that strips away the clutter and complexity.

designed package. This less is more philosophy is precisely what Lenovo is embracing with its all-new

Minimalist Design for Maximum Appeal
Whether you’re talking about Gen Z’s desire to stay digitally connected at all times, 1 the millennial
generation’s desire for lower-cost living options, 2 Gen X’s demand for performance and innovation 3 or
the Baby Boomers’ quest for technology that’s both smart and easy to use, 4 Lenovo’s new family of
IdeaPads is as diverse in style and substance as the people who depend on them.

Pretty on the Outside
From their most heavily used workhorse elements to their subtlest surface hues, tones and finishes,
every part of the IdeaPads was a consideration in the design process. Beveled edges produce smooth
clean lines, while an angled front edge was added for easier lid opening. The thinner side profile,
especially in the S models, coupled with the IdeaPads’ simplified rear delivers an unmistakably lean
visual impression and a great carrying experience.

The IdeaPad 720S, for example, is made of a premium anodized aluminum casing that’s treated with
the same technique used to shape and polish diamonds for a gorgeous, ultra-thin profile that feels as
good as it looks.

Its equally trim cousin, the IdeaPad 320S 14” screen model is only 19.3mm thin (0.76 in), and includes
an infused cover for a soft metallic touch.

Eager to complement the IdeaPads’ sleek new profile with the look and feel increasingly common in
contemporary homes and offices, Lenovo designers chose a spectrum of colors and finishes to match
users’ modern tastes. From the premium metallic colors and sophisticated polished metal finishes of
the IdeaPad 720 series, to the vibrant, playful hues and equally sleek finishes of the IdeaPad 320S and
320 series, the new IdeaPad family offer a variety of looks and feels that satisfy the most demanding
design trendsetters.

improved shift key and narrower bezels for optimized screen displays to the decision to incorporate
