Google removes SMS support for Hangouts app
As Google slowly reworks Hangouts into a business and productivity tool, various features and functions of the service have been getting eliminated one at a time. Yesterday, Google finally pulled the plug on SMS support for the Hangouts Android app. It’s certainly sad to see Hangouts in its current form get neutered of one of its most popular features, but this will hopefully allow Google to finally simplify the wide array of messaging services that the company offers.Via: Android Police
LeEco to Layoff 80% of its US Workforce

Analyst suggests that the iPhone 8 could cost as much as $1070

A new report suggests that the iPhone 8 will have a starting price of $870 and go up to a whopping $1070 for the model with 256GB of storage. iPhones have never been cheap, but will Apple finally go too far with this ludicrous pricing?Via: 9to5Mac
