These are some of the best cases for the Samsung Galaxy S8

6 min read

If you caught our review of the Samsung Galaxy S8, you’d know we gave it high marks. As with any phone, though, you will need a few cases or charging accessories. With that said, let’s dig into a few accessories we recommend.

VRS Design

Simpli Mod – $24

This case is no more than plastic with a leather backing. It’s simple, and it looks pretty decent. I wouldn’t trust it entirely to handle a few drops, but if looks are what you’re going for, this might be the case for you.

Damda Folder and Glide – $34

The Damda Folder is an excellent bulky case that will handle any drop. The Folder folds out (as the name implies) and has a space to store certain items. The Glide slides out for you to store your cards. Both are pretty thin and fit the S8 well.

Crystal Bumper – $29

The Crystal bumper is your average clear case. With a gray siding and a clear body, the Crystal bumper shows off your S8 in all its glory. It could handle a good fall, too.

High Pro Shield – $29

This one is the opaque version of the Crystal Bumper. It has a lined design on the back and is a bit thinner. It’ll do its job, and that’s pretty much it.

Dandy Layered Case – $34

The Dandy Layered case is probably one of the best leather wallet cases I’ve tried. It has a couple of card pockets and feels pretty nice in hand. I like the color and pretty much everything about it.

Tech 21

Evo Check Active – $39

This is one of my personal favorites. The bright Aqua color and the speckled design stand out. Not to mention that thing could take a few drops. All of Tech 21’s cases has flex shock technology built inside to give you everything you need to withstand falls. The buttons are a little stiff on this one, but it’s nothing to worry about really.

Evo Go – $69

If you’re looking for a good case to store your credit cards, the Evo Go is the way to go. You can’t even tell that the case is a wallet case becasue the flap is well hidden. Not only that, but the case feels very nice in the hands.

Evo Tactical – $39

This one is a basic flexible case with not much to it. It’s sleek and can protect your phone, but that’s about it. It’s still a pretty good case overall, but if you’re going to spend the money, go with the Evo Active.

Slim Meta – $20

The meta has a design on the back I’m not really too fond of, but it will provide you with the protection you need. It feels a little cheap, but it’s one of the cheapest on the list.

Naked Shield – $20

The naked shield is a little better. It has a clear back with black sides. It’s pretty comfortable in the hands and doesn’t get as many fingerprints as you think it would. This is a simple, clear case that compliments the S8 well.

Flex Pro – $20

This is another super simple case. Carbon fiber design on the back and a good grip are the main reasons to look into this one. Other than that, there isn’t much to it.

Ace Pro – $34

BodyGuardz makes exceptional cases. The Ace Pro is nice and probably the best clear case. It shows off the S8 and offers some of the best protection.

Shock Case – $34

This last case is also my favorite case. The Shock case has the simplest name, but the best design. It offers excellent protection and feels amazing. Plus the inner green adds a little flavor, which is nice. The buttons are made nicely, and the designed sides are pretty awesome. I would put down the money and grab this one.

Overall, these cases will do a good job of keeping your S8 secure, and some of them will do even better than that. The ones I wholeheartedly recommend are the Bodyguardz and Tech 21 cases. Let us know in the comments if you have any of these cases, and how much you like them.
