DIRECTV NOW is about to add a lot more programming to its service thanks to a new deal with CBS. Soon you’ll be able to watch all of your favorite live shows from CBS, CBS Sports Network, Pop, Showtime, and The CW as well as on demand. Now whether you’re looking to catch your favorite team or just catch up on The Big Bang Theory or The Flash DIRECTV NOW has you covered.
CBS and The CW will be available on all DIRECTV NOW packages, while Pop will start on the “Just Right” and the CBS Sports Network will start on the “Go Big” package. If you want Showtime you’re going to have to cough up an extra $8 a month to watch those episodes of Shameless, Twin Peaks, or Ray Donovan. Which is the lowest monthly rate for any streaming service that carries Showtime.
As a part of the deal with CBS DIRECTV NOW subscribers will also have access to live local programming in nearly 25 different markets. Including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, Ft. Worth, San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Denver, Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto, Pittsburgh, and Baltimore. With plans to launch at least 30 additional ABC, FOX and NBC affiliates on DIRECTV NOW. Bringing the total to over 170 live local channels available across more than 80 metro areas.
DIRECTV NOW packages start at $35 per month but AT&T Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Choice customers can get service for as little as $10 per month after a $25 credit on their bill.
