Why I’m Returning to Technology Review

Dear Reader,

Ever since 2012, everything has been a roller coaster with iTechTriad (now YourTechExplained). It started all when I was 15 years old with a burning passion for technology and a passion for talking about it. Starting a tech review company was bound to happen because of the fact that I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 9 years old (give or take all I remember was it starting when I made a killing at a lemonade stand). I’ll be 190% honest, the reason for me being away from YourTechExplained was due to the fact that I made bad business decisions and as a result from a business stand point I wouldn’t be able to continue doing what I loved doing back in 2012. I tried to make a return numerous times but each time couldn’t succeed. Life would get “busy” or as I like to say I just wasn’t invested and I didn’t see a reason to break my back over it. I also started dating, met my wife, life got busy, and I even started working for T-Mobile as sales representative which took a lot of time away from everything else. Either or it doesn’t matter anymore because that’s all the past and now my only concern is the future.

Nevertheless, through it all I owe it to the team that’s stayed at YourTechExplained through the years — namely Ben Schoon, who has been helping with day to day operations for years. If it weren’t for Ben and the team, YourTechExplained wouldn’t be here today. Just as much as this return is personal, it’s also for them.

Also, forgive me for saying this but technology review and some of the people who do it act like they are prom kings in high school. (I’ve been wanting to say that for years!) Yes, you might have amazing quality on your channel (I bet your boss is proud) and you might be great at telling people if they should buy this phone or tablet, but do you even interact with the people who watch your videos and pay your bills? I’m only stating my opinion of the things I’ve seen and this is only a few of the many AMAZING content creators that have inspired me to this day.

The point of this article isn’t to sit here and take shots because frankly it’s a waste of time. The reason I mentioned those things is because that is the very reason “Why I’m Returning To YourTechExplained.” I’m ready to build a community so very different from the ones we currently see. Will I be able to accomplish it? I don’t know, you will have to wait and see. I can tell you this though: I have a fire that I have never experienced since the day I started this company. There is a “why” now and that is what I have been searching for. Within the next few weeks expect to see us increase our activity on all socials and on our channel. I will be actively interacting with all of you in the comment sections and I invite you to join our family of supporters.
