Google dropped the price of the Pixel 2’s USB-C headphone adapter to $9 to match Apple

Here some good news before the launch of the Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL. Google has dropped the price of the Type C to Headphone adapter to $9 from $20.00.

Many have been unhappy that the Pixel 2 has no headphone jack, but it got worse when the price of Google’s headphone jack adapter was revealed. At $20, it ended up costing over twice as much as Apple’s Lighting to headphone adapter.

Though I hate to see the headphone jack go, I’m glad that Google decided to drop the price on the adapter. This Type C to Headphone adapter, of course, will work with the Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL. You’ll still get one included in the box, but at this price, it’s not too hard to stock up with extras for the car or your backpack.
