The new Lenovo Miix 630 makes mobile productivity easier

We all know the life of the student or a busy person in general: keeping work on the mind wherever you go. Maybe you’re an artist who gets whims of expression randomly throughout the day. You may need a device that comes with a pen detachable keyboard so you can draw or write freely.

You might need mobile connectivity incorporated into your PC so you don’t have to go hunting for WiFi across the globe. This is the same problem a lot of people have. Well, Lenovo had those people in mind when coming up with the Miix 630.

The Miix is a 2-in-1 device, meaning it has the ability to either be a tablet or a PC at a moments notice. The Miix 630 was built with Snapdragon’s 835 Mobile PC Platform and runs on Windows 10 S. While this is the case, if need be you can upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for free, which is great if you decide if you want to rely on apps besides ones native to the Windows Store.

The wonderful thing about the Miix 630 is the ability to attach a full-size backlit keyboard in seconds for mobile writing or general productivity. Not only that, but the screen has 1,024 touch points for some pretty accurate pen action (pen included). This gives the ever-needed pen on paper feel you’ve always wanted in a mobile device.

When it comes to the footprint, the Miix focuses on a lightweight and unnoticeable experience at only 15.6mm thick — with the keyboard attached. Screen size sits at a large 12.3” and comes in at 1080 x 1280. In terms of battery, since you’ll be working on this device more often than not, you’ll appreciate that it gets around 20 hours of local video playback. That’s more than enough for you to roam and work as often as you please. You can find the spec list below:

  • Snapdragon 830
  • 4GB or 8GB RAM
  • 64/128/256GB Storage

The Miix 630 boasts the fact that it has built-in 4G LTE connectivity, even in idle, hence the lack of a need to search for hotspots around. The idea is that the needs of mobile users and laptop users will meet in the middle with a mobile PC that lets you check emails and messages wherever you are.

The Miix 630 will be coming January of 2018, so stay tuned. We can’t wait to get the full review out so you can decide if its right for you!
