If you’re heading to the Winter Olympics in South Korea AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon have you covered at no additional cost

The Winter Olympics only comes once every four years and is the biggest winter sporting event around. Whether you’re participating or spectating AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon are making sure you stay in touch with friends and family back home at no additional charge.

AT&T

Beginning February 1st through March 20th AT&T wireless customers can take their plan with them. Just sign up for International Day Pass through AT&T the $10 daily fee will be waived inside of South Korea. With this plan, AT&T wireless customers will be able to make unlimited calls back to the US and to 108 International Day Pass countries and send unlimited texts worldwide.

T-Mobile

If you’re a postpaid T-Mobile customer then you’re in luck because they make it the easiest by far to use your phone while in PyeongChang by requiring no extra steps. Between February 7th and March 20th, as long as you’re in South Korea and you’re a postpaid T-Mobile customer you will receive unlimited free high-speed data, unlimited calls back to the US, and unlimited texting to 140+ countries including South Korea.

Verizon

TravelPass from Verizon allows you to take your domestic talk, text, and data allowances with you abroad for $5 per line in Canada or Mexico, or to over 130 destinations for  $10 per day. As a Verizon customer, you have to jump through a couple more hoops to get their TravelPass plan for no additional charge while in South Korea. First, you need to join the Verizon Up rewards program and then you can sign up for TravelPass through February 28th. Verizon Up gives you rewards such as tickets to events and more just for paying your bill. If you choose to not sign up for Verizon Up then you can still take advantage of TravelPass for free on February 9th for the opening of the games.
