Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ coming to FirstNet by end of March

1 min read

Samsung’s latest and greatest flagship will be available on FirstNet, the first nationwide network for emergency responders starting in March. This is the first Samsung device to have Band 14 access built-in. Band 14 is a special spectrum licensed to the First Responder Network Authority and AT&T is expanding this network by installing it on tens of thousands of new and existing towers nationwide.

The Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ is a great companion for first responders as it includes an improved camera with two different apertures — perfect for taking pictures in low light when there is an emergency. The iris scanner makes it quick and easy to unlock your device in bright or dark conditions, giving you quick access to your mobile lifeline. The IP68 dust and water resistant rating is another reason why the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ is the perfect phone for emergency personnel.

Beginning in late March, FirstNet users interested in the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ can contact their account lead, or head into an AT&T store and ask for FirstNet. For more information about the Galaxy S9/S9+, check out our article here and for a list of other FirstNet devices check this site.
