Wednesdays at the Polls: Did you install the Android P beta?

Google announced a plethora of new additions to their mobile OS yesterday. Along with many new features came a brand new public beta of Android 9.0 codenamed simply “P” for the moment.

This would usually only be an installation option for Pixel users, but this year Google has opened the beta up to a short list of OEMs to also offer it their users. These phones can now sign up for the beta OTA:

  • Google Pixel/Pixel XL
  • Google Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL
  • Essential Phone
  • Nokia 7 Plus
  • Oppo R15 Pro
  • Sony Xperia XZ2
  • Vivo X21 UD
  • Vivo X21
  • Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S

That brings me back to today’s poll. Did you sign up and install the Android P beta? Are you the guy that always wants the bleeding edge and couldn’t wait for the links to go live? Or did you pass it up and will wait for a stable OTA? Or are you still weighing your options on taking the plunge? Let us know in the poll below and sound off in the comments on your thoughts and experiences.

Have you installed the Android P beta on your daily driver?
