Prime Day 2018 set for July 16 and starts early with $100 off the Amazon Echo Show

It’s back! Amazon has officially announced the date of this year’s Prime Day: July 16th. For those that don’t know, this is the one day per year that Amazon allows some amazing discounts on most of their products in popular segments like technology, gadgets, and furniture, all exclusive to Prime members. Think of it like Black Friday or Cyber Monday in the middle of July.

This year, Amazon is offering a deep discount on their Echo Show smart home display. It’s usually $229, but starting today through the end of Prime day, you can snag this great product for $100 less. You heard that right — all the amazing features of the Echo Show for just $129, starting this morning. That’s one of the best deals we’ve seen for the Echo Show since it launched back in May of 2017.

While Google has announced that partners will feature Home units with displays, the Echo Show is still in a segment all alone. With the Show you get all the great voice features of the standard Echo but with a sharp 7″ screen. This allows you to have music (along with artwork and lyrics), check the forecast, show you home connected cameras, and watch Prime Video on Demand. So, if you’ve been on the fence about ordering the Echo Show, Amazon is giving you a Prime opportunity between now and July 16. Be sure to stay tuned here for more Prime Day deals as we get closer to the date.
