In an announcement video released this morning on Twitter, OnePlus announced that they would be releasing their 6T phone at an event on October 30th. The event will be held at 11am EST at Pier 36 in New York.

As you can see in the announcement video, not too many details are being shared right from OnePlus besides “fast and smooth” and “touch the innovation.”
Of course, there have been plenty of leaks about the 6T. WinFuture reported on the upcoming phone a couple days ago, and some of the expected upgrades include a fingerprint reader integrated into the display, a smaller “waterdrop” notch, and a larger 3700mAh battery (thanks to the removal of the headphone jack).
This is what the OnePlus 6T in Midnight Black is expected to look like, according to renders from WinFuture.
The phone is still expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor — the same chip that was in the OnePlus 6. It will be paired with 8GB of RAM, but the amount of internal storage is uncertain at this time; as both 64GB or 128GB options are a possibility.
Tickets are available right now for the October 30th event, but if you can’t attend in person then there will be a livestream of the event.
